Public Service Announcement

If you missed the Waves Last week. . . You may still think that global warming is cool. So many good things can come of it, what is not to love? But unfortunately, its going to kill us all and that's pretty much inevitable. Want to see how in this awesome trailer with catchy scaremongering music? Check it out and pledge to see the movie: http://www.climatecrisis.net/
and now back to our regularly scheduled invite:

Immigrants!

Give me your tired, your poor,
your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
the wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me.
I lift my lamp beside the golden door. . .
so I can sick the national guard on them!

its time to embrace the inner immigrant in all of us
so this week we are waving at YOU.
weather you are coming here from another country
or another state;
weather temporary or permanent
there is enough boxed wine for all!

actually there is never enough
so contribute to the damn society you leaches
and while you are at it stop overrunning our schools
and destroying our healthcare
but if you could keep up the low wage labor that would be great!

so come swaddled in your traditional garb
and be prepared to tell your tale of woe
forced name changes and fences climbed. . .

05/08/06
specifying is useless. you will be late as the lazy immigrants that you are

It has been in the news a lot lately.
Riling up a lot of haters
who do not understand how awesome global warming will be

so many reasons to love it
so we are going to have an
'i heart global warming' slogan contest

Entries are encouraged such as:
"I heart global warming: the penguins can sleep in my bed"
or
"I heart global warming: making inland property priceless waterfront"
or
"I heart global warming: no one liked new orleans anyway"

you get the idea.
so come to celebrate the fantastic changes
this inevitable shift in temperature will bring

Jury Duty!

So someone has jury duty this week
Is learning all about the law
jury selection process
personal injury
and catching up on a lot of reading

116 is still somewhat trashed
from saturdays festivities
but we have some new rugs
with patterns that will
with any luck
hide future wine stains.

So come one down
to test out the rugs
and ellen's patience
she is getting her wisdom teeth out tomorrow. . .
and will need to numb the pain ;)
or get to bed early.
